Private lessons are best suited for students ages 4 and up. Younger students are encouraged to check out my program for toddlers.

Every student has different interests, learning styles, and goals. Private lessons allow for each student to achieve their musical goals in the way that best suits them. 

The goal of private lessons is to instill a love of music in each student while simultaneously increasing their understanding and technical skills. Students are able to pursue exams in music if they desire and all students will have multiple performance opportunities. 

Toddler classes are for ages 2-3. Students learn the fundamentals of music through movement, singing, and playing instruments. These are group classes where the caregiver is required to attend and participate with the child.

Sessions run in the mornings and afternoons/evenings from July-August, September-December, and January-June. 

It is never too late to start learning piano! Adult students are more than welcome. Classes focus on building a musical foundation so you can learn to play the music you love. 

This program is for homeschoolers looking for daytime piano lessons between the hours of 9am-2pm. Students of all ages and levels are welcome and will receive a discount for attending class during these hours. 

Did you know you can receive high school credit for musical instruction? If you are interested in receiving high school credit for studying piano please let me know and I will tailor a special program for your child that will help them achieve this goal.

The Ontario government allows children to miss up to 1 half day of school per week for musical instruction as outlined by the Ontario Education Act, R.S.O. 1990 (Part II - School attendance, Section 21, 2(e): “A Person is excused from attendance at school if the person is absent from the school for the purpose of receiving instruction in music and the period of absence does not exceed one-half day in any week.”

Any students under 19 taking private lessons during daytime hours will receive a discount. Students are also welcome to take classes before school. 

Theory classes are essential to a student's musical understanding and progress. Students can receive private theory instruction or group theory instruction. Once a child has reached level 3 they will be invited to group theory classes. 

If a student wants to pursue highschool credit in piano, it is mandatory for them to take theory lessons and complete theory exams through a recognized conservatory.
